This ten-week experiential and interactive Zoom-based course begins on Thursday 18th April 2024 and will take place every Thursday until the 27th June 2024, except for 20th June when there will be no session.

This course is designed for Listeners wishing to build upon the Deep Listening training they have already received with us.

This is a follow-on course for those who have taken the Awareness Centred Listening Online and is a follow-on course for those who have taken Deep Listening Essentials either face-to-face or online. All our online training aims to provide a safe, compassionate space for online deep listening in which real connection and communication can safely take place.

This event will include:

• Full introduction to and exploration of the three core skills of Deep Listening: Embodied Awareness, Supportive Presence and Compassionate Connection.
• Guided reflections and meditations to practice deep listening with embodiment and presence.
• Substantial time exploring the nature of compassion and empathy and applying this understanding through the Four Immeasurables, which are the four aspects of compassion.
• Other new topics such as boundaries, the shadow in listening and changing listening centres will be included.
• Time in breakout rooms with other listeners to practice a variety of deep listening communication exercises.
• Support from your own dedicated small group of fellow listeners.
• Time for discussion on experiences of deep listening, questions and answers.

There will be 20 contact hours of online course time across 10 sessions. Two of these sessions will focus on practicing the method in small groups. We ask you to attend all sessions.

Cancellation policy

In the case of cancellation up to four weeks before the start of a Deep Listening Training course, all course fees will be refunded, minus £30 administration costs. In case of cancellation two to four weeks in advance, half of the course fees will be refunded. In case of cancellation less than two weeks before the start of a course it would not be possible to offer a refund.

Rosamund Oliver is an international trainer who founded the Awareness Centred Deep Listening method. She teaches this method of Deep Listening internationally, in Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, UK and Spain and online.

When she trained as a UKCP psychotherapist , as well as working with clients, she taught spiritual care in hospices, and created a prison meditation project. She continues to train professionals in how to combine contemplative insight and awareness with listening and communication.

She participated in a full time three year Buddhist retreat and now regularly teaches meditation and compassion methods both online and directly in-person.
